Katarina is a certified health coach at Risely Health.
When Katarina was diagnosed with type one diabetes at sixteen years old she felt a lack of support from her health care team. With the support of her parents, she took her management into her own hands. She became confident in understanding and working with her diabetes on a deeper level.
After graduating college with her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Katarina spent 5 years coaching over 500 individuals in both a gym setting and a non-profit health organization.
Her passion for health coaching continued to grow after discovering Lauren on Instagram. She was inspired to obtain her National Board Certification in Health and Wellness Coaching. Advocating for and supporting other type ones on their health journey keeps Katarina motivated to continue expanding her knowledge and coaching skills.
Outside of coaching, Katarina loves experimenting with food (particularly fermented foods like kimchi, kombucha, and sourdough), traveling with her husband for his Strongman competitions, growing vegetables and herbs in their hoop house, and venturing out for long runs along Lake Michigan’s scenic trails.
