about

Jenna is a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach at Risely Health.

Jenna was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of two and brings over 35 years of lived experience to her coaching. With no family history, she was fortunate to have her symptoms recognized quickly and to grow up with a very strong support system. Because she had never known life without it, she learned early on to view diabetes as part of her everyday, rather than something that would hold her back.

While Jenna always worked hard at her management, she also realized how deeply the invisible parts of diabetes were affecting her — the mental and emotional aspects that no one could see, and the parts of Type 1 diabetes that often weigh heaviest on the day-to-day. With a desire to start a family and gain more support through that journey, she found Lauren’s podcast and decided to join Risely’s Decide and Conquer Bootcamp. Through the group coaching program, she gained the education, support, and community she had been missing throughout decades of doctor’s appointments. With the help of Risely, her mindset began to shift as she learned to lean into her diabetes rather than away from it. Today, she views it as a source of strength and an important part of the person she has become.

The experience shifted her perspective and gave her the tools and confidence she needed to move forward in starting her family. Inspired by the impact coaching had on her own life, Jenna pursued her certification through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and became a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach.

Jenna’s coaching style blends her lived experience with authenticity, compassion, and deep listening.  Her approach is rooted in helping clients feel more confident, balanced, and less alone as they navigate life with Type 1 diabetes.

Jenna and her family live in Charlotte, North Carolina. Outside of coaching, she enjoys traveling, staying active, long walks with a good podcast, spending time by the water, and doing her best to keep up with her husband on the golf course. Most of all, she loves spending quality time with family—especially her husband and two kids, who mean everything to her.
