We have a complete lady boss on the show today, Jennifer Costello!
Jen was diagnosed with type one at the age of 34 at the peak of her career. She was really mad, angry, and resentful of the diagnosis for a while. Having perfectionism be a thread that ran through her entire life, she couldn't understand why diabetes wasn't playing by the normal life rules of - “if I just apply myself, I'll be able to crush it.”
I've been able to bear witness to Jen's inspiring transformation through working with her in our May 2022 Deciding and Conquer Group coaching program. Now she's here, on the other side of learning to work with her diabetes, and has gained a level of trust with her body that she's never felt.
In this conversation, which covers such a range of topics, Jen shares...
- How she went from 30% time in range on average to now 70%!
- The infamous Mac and cheese pre-bolus-gone-wrong story
- Learning to advocate for herself authentically
- What’s made her feel *excited* about her diabetes
- and... so much more!
I'm so excited for you to hear the changes that she's created in her management and mindset.
If you can relate to Jen’s story and feel inspired to transform your own relationship with diabetes, we are now enrolling for our January 2023 Decide + Conquer Bootcamp. Our September round filled up before the application deadline and we know the January round will fill up, too, so definitely take advantage of this early bird opportunity to reserve your spot!
