Have you ever felt like one week your blood sugars are smooth sailing, predictable, and fairly easy to manage and then all of a sudden you have unexplained highs and can’t get them down no matter what?

It might not have anything to do with food or exercise… and it could have EVERYTHING to do with where you are in your cycle.

If you’re like, “huh? What does my cycle have to do with this??” then you’re gonna wanna read til the end!

Female hormones follow a 28-35 day cycle, also known as an infradian rhythm.

Within that cycle, the female body goes through 4 distinct phases:

🌱Follicular phase

☀️Ovulatory phase

🍁Luteal phase

❄️Menstrual phase

Each phase is determined by the fluctuation of hormones like estrogen, LH, and progesterone. And those hormones have a direct effect on insulin sensitivity (as well as mood, energy, creativity, and more).

💡Are you having a lightbulb moment yet?

Lots of women come through the Decide and Conquer Bootcamp not knowing this about their bodies, or not knowing how to strategize for it.
We help them get curious about the patterns they’re noticing week to week and support them through the process of figuring out their bodies’ needs during different parts of their cycle.

It is incredibly empowering for so many women to finally understand how to work with their body, rather than feeling like their body is constantly working against them.

The DCB was created for T1D women, by T1D women. We help individuals, wherever they are in their journey, get the unique support they need. And we offer continued guidance and unparalleled partnership through the process. Our distinctive approach has helped thousands of T1Ds change their relationship with diabetes and themselves.
