DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?

“I'm scared I won't be able to keep my blood sugars in range during pregnancy.”

You already know pregnancy comes with tighter blood sugar targets. Maybe your numbers still have a ways to go before you feel pregnancy-ready. Or maybe your A1C and time in range are already strong, and you still look at 63–140 mg/dL and wonder how you're supposed to stay there for most of the day, for an entire pregnancy.

>70%

Pregnancy time-in-range target

Pregnancy prep is about more than getting your A1C below a certain number.

You want the patterns, skills, and confidence you'll rely on during pregnancy to already feel familiar before the targets get tighter and your insulin needs start changing quickly. That might mean learning your hormonal patterns, getting more comfortable spending time at lower blood sugars, working through foods or situations you still struggle to dose for, or simply trusting yourself to know what to do next.

Your insulin needs will constantly change

Insulin sensitivity shifts drastically throughout pregnancy, sometimes every few days. The better you understand your patterns now, the stronger your foundation for recognizing and responding to change with your care team.

The things that feel hard now can get harder

Maybe it's post-meal numbers, stubborn highs, fear around lows, going out of routine, or not feeling confident in how to change your settings. Pregnancy adds new variables to the parts of T1D you're already managing.

You have something incredibly valuable right now: time

Time to figure out what works for your body. Time to strengthen the areas of T1D that still feel unpredictable. Time to practice tighter targets without the pressure of already being pregnant — so when you get a positive test, you're building from a foundation you already trust.

A DIFFERENT WAY IN

The answer isn't eating salad for nine months.

It's understanding your own diabetes better.

It's really hard to white-knuckle your way through pregnancy. The key is building an approach that can flex when your body changes through all 3 trimesters.

Step 01

Change your mindset around your numbers

Work through your relationship to pregnancy with T1D, your relationship to insulin, and all the changes that will come.

Step 02

Understand your patterns

See what meals, movement, hormones, sleep, and stress do to your blood sugars.

Step 03

Create more predictable blood sugars

More time in range because the patterns changed, not because your life shrank.

Step 04

Build habits you can sustain

A routine that still works on a hard week, not only on a perfect one.

Step 05

Go into pregnancy more prepared

You've already practiced the skills before the targets get tighter.

HOW IT WORKS

12 weeks to build your foundation for pregnancy with T1D

A 12-week small-group coaching experience beginning October 14. This small cohort gives Lauren the ability to be personally involved in your pregnancy prep — starting with your private Pregnancy Prep Assessment — while you also receive support from a Risely coach with lived T1D pregnancy experience.

01

Change your mindset around your numbers

Start with a private 30-minute assessment with Lauren to look at where you are now, identify the biggest gaps between you and pregnancy-ready, and create a clear plan for what to focus on over the next 12 weeks.

02

Six live group coaching calls

Six 60-minute coaching calls on Wednesdays at 5:30 PM ET where we'll teach, coach, and work through what's actually happening with your T1D as you prepare for pregnancy. Bring your blood sugar patterns, questions, and real-life situations so we can help you figure out what to adjust and practice.

03

Private coaching along the way

Two additional 30-minute private coaching sessions to go deeper on your individual patterns, routines, challenges, and pregnancy prep plan when you need more personalized support.

04

Coaching and support between calls

You’ll have access to Lauren, your Risely coach, and the group between calls so you can ask questions, share what you’re seeing, and get support as you put everything into practice over the full 12 weeks.

05

A bonus call when you get a positive test

Your support doesn't suddenly end when you see two lines. You'll have a bonus 30-minute early-pregnancy coaching call to help you work through the transition from pregnancy prep into those first weeks of pregnancy, alongside your medical team.

06

Four core Pregnancy Prep trainings

Four core trainings delivered within the group calls, focused on the areas we want you to understand and practice before pregnancy — from preparing for tighter blood sugar targets to understanding changing insulin needs and building the skills you'll rely on once you're pregnant. You'll also get access to additional Risely resources based on what you personally need to work on.

TWELVE WEEKS FROM NOW

Pregnancy amplifies the challenges you're having right now

Which is why the goal isn't a single good A1C. It's leaving these 12 weeks able to say these things and mean them.

“I understand why my blood sugars are doing what they're doing.”

“I understand why my blood sugars are doing what they're doing.”

“I have a clearer plan for my time in range and A1C with my care team.”

“I know what questions to bring to my providers.”

“An unexpected number doesn't mean I'm failing.”

“I feel prepared for what pregnancy will ask of my T1D.”

WHY TRUST US WITH THIS

What Risely moms are saying

BEFORE YOU APPLY

Answers to your questions

Then this is about sustainability. A lot of women here have numbers that look strong on paper and are spending enormous mental energy holding them there. Pregnancy raises that demand — the work is making it something you could carry for ten-plus months.

Ideal. More runway means you can learn your patterns and build habits without pregnancy putting pressure behind every number.

No. Your medical team handles your care, prescriptions, insulin and device settings, clinical targets, and pregnancy clearance. Risely helps you understand your patterns, work on habits and mindset, and bring better questions to your providers. Coaching supports you between appointments; it never replaces medical care.

If you are still in your first trimester, yes, you can. If you're further along in your pregnancy, still apply and talk to our team so we can find the best support path for you.

Yes — MDI, pump, or AID all work. We focus on how you interact with your system day to day: timing, meals, activity, patterns. Settings changes stay with your provider.

Yes. Jenna, one of our coaches, is a T1D mom who conceived through IVF, and treatment cycles bring their own hormonal effects on blood sugars.

When you're ready to start trying, you shouldn't have to wonder if your diabetes is ready, too.

Use the time you have now to build more predictable blood sugars, strengthen the skills pregnancy requires, and go into this next chapter trusting yourself to handle what comes.
